
About the Practitioner

Emily is a licensed Acupuncturist and herbalist. She completed her Master’s degree from American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ACTCM). Before pursuing a career as TCM practioner, she was already pursuing medicine. She was a pre-medical student at the University of California, Davis, graduating with her Bachelor of Sciences in Biological Sciences, Neurology and minor in Human Development and Nutrition. She also interned at University of California, Davis Medical Center, Orthopedics clinic.
Emily is very passionate about helping the community. During her undergraduate years she spent her weekends providing free health care at student run clinic Paul Hom Asian Clinic and was very active in Red Cross. It was during this time she was exposed to Traditional Chinese Medicine and fell in love with it. She greatly appreciates a medicine that not only treats current ailments but is focused on preventing it as well.
She loves to spread the word about TCM and acupuncture. She gives free talks and lectures to educate the public on how to improve their health.
As a licensed acupuncturist, Emily uses different modalities to treat her patients: acupuncture, tui na, cupping, electro-stimulation, herbs, lifestyle and diet/nutrition counseling.
She has worked at ACTCM Community Clinic, ACTCM Auricular Community Clinic, and California Pacific Medical Center—Impatient Stroke and Spinal Trauma. Currently she is working at Total Care Plus and at Family Room Community Acupuncture.
Emily is fluent in English and Cantonese. In her free time you can find her hiking, crafting and cooking.
